Male infertility
Male infertility is defined as male’s inabilility to achieve conception with the fertile women. Male fertility declines at much slower rate then female fertility. Pregnancy rate is decreased and time to pregnancy is longer in older men.
Further, increased risk for misscariage and chromosome abnormalities are related to older men. Approximately 1 % of men suffered from azoospermia that is otal absence of spermatozoa in ejaculate. In addition, abnormal semen test can be caused by hormonal and chromosomal abnormalities, undescended testicles, surgery on male genital system, varicocele, radiation and chemotherapy.
